# Building NeoBytes: The Website That Started It All
**Published:** 7 August 2026 • 2:38 AM
Every developer has a project that marks the beginning of something bigger.
For me, that project is **NeoBytes**.
At first, the idea was simple: create a portfolio where I could showcase my projects and give people a place to learn more about my work. But as development progressed, NeoBytes became much more than a portfolio—it became the central hub for everything I create.
## Why I Built NeoBytes
I wanted a website that truly represented who I am as a developer.
Instead of relying on templates or website builders, I decided to build everything from the ground up. Every page, every animation, every feature, and every database model was designed with one goal in mind: creating something I could genuinely call my own.
NeoBytes isn't just a collection of projects. It's a place where I can document my growth, share what I learn, and continuously improve as both a student and a software developer.
## The Technologies Behind It
Building NeoBytes has allowed me to work with technologies that are widely used in modern web development.
Some of the tools powering this website include:
* Next.js
* React
* TypeScript
* Tailwind CSS
* Prisma ORM
* PostgreSQL (Neon)
* Auth.js
* Google OAuth
* Resend
* Vercel
Each technology introduced new challenges and helped me understand how modern full-stack applications are built and deployed.
## More Than Just a Portfolio
One of my goals was to make NeoBytes feel like a real platform rather than a static website.
That's why I built features such as:
* A dynamic blog system
* Project management
* Media gallery
* Contact system
* Newsletter subscriptions
* Secure administrator dashboard
* Homepage content management system (CMS)
* Google authentication for administrators
* Cloud-hosted PostgreSQL database
Every feature was built as an opportunity to learn something new.
## Lessons Learned
Creating NeoBytes taught me that software development isn't simply about writing code.
It involves planning, debugging, testing, deployment, database management, authentication, security, and constantly refining the user experience.
Some days everything worked perfectly.
Other days a single bug took hours to solve.
Looking back, every challenge made the project stronger.
## Looking Ahead
NeoBytes is only the beginning.
In the coming months, I'll continue expanding the platform with new projects, technical articles, experiments with artificial intelligence, and tools that demonstrate what I'm learning throughout my journey.
This website will continue to evolve alongside my skills.
## Thank You
If you've found your way here, thank you for taking the time to explore my work.
Whether you're a fellow developer, a recruiter, a client, or simply someone curious about technology, I hope you'll enjoy following this journey as much as I enjoy building it.
This is only the beginning.
Welcome to NeoBytes.
